Crypto Crime Unit SEAL Launches Tool to Combat Phishing Scams with Cryptographic Verification
SEAL, a cryptocurrency crime-fighting organization, has introduced the Verifiable Phishing Reporter, a tool designed to expose deceptive phishing websites. The system employs TLS attestations to cryptographically verify malicious content, ensuring reports are trustworthy and unaltered by attackers.
Unlike traditional scanners that can be thwarted by CAPTCHAs or security systems, SEAL's framework allows ethical hackers to securely inspect pages and document real visitor experiences. The tool, now public after months of beta testing, builds on SEAL's existing initiatives like SEAL-911, a Telegram-based response channel.
